Talking about myself feels weird at the moment. Plus I don't know anyone on this thing. I am a PhD student in religion (comparative). No I am not going to be a goddamn minister (I put that "goddamn" in there just to hammer home my point). I study Evangelicalism in America (and how to destroy them), Hinduism, post-colonial theory, feminism/queer angle to the Bible and religion in America...(Yes I will probably call you a latent homosexual if you blather on about how much you hate gays...and don't tell me anything about it, okay?)...blah blah blah.
I don't like people. I am on this to peruse and I have seen some interesting personalities and I like reading their stuff and looking at their art. But mainly, I don't like people. Hence, misanthropic as I stated above. I am a writer. But I have lost all my artistic skills since I have been in college for ten years. Nevertheless, I can write a mean research paper. And if you are interested in a real dissection of religious phenomenon, we can chat. But it your ideas are limited with no real knowledge of WHY you have limited them in such a way, let's NOT chat.
Other than that, I think I am pretty friendly. Depends. Who is one-dimensional enough to be satisfied with describing themselves in an "About Me" section anyway? Its too difficult. Or I am just lazy...I am going to bet on the latter. I an an extremist. If I am in a partying/dancing phase I do it to the hilt. Then I will remain in seclusion for weeks on end. I have lost many friends that way since they don't understand my need for ABSOLUTE space. A hipster, young beach of the many beautiful beaches San Diego has to offer. I am very proud of where I come from, I love my hometown, and I think it is the best city in Southern California. It is still urban, but smaller. There are visible trees from the freeways, traffic is (relatively) predictable, and the weather is basically the same temperature all year round, fluctuating between 10 degrees low/high...but it is usually 70 degrees out.

It isn't just the man that says, "Eh WOMAN I grab you..." Um, I have to be an active participant in this creating of an affair. I don't need to take your man, honey. Really. And I think if a man I am interested in does the cheating thing it has nothing to do with me but everything to do with his need to be idol worshipped and well, sorry, I have a brain and I stick up for myself, yet I somehow am the one that gets called crazy all the time?

Anyway, why I mention this is because Karrie is literally one of four women in my life (in real life, not internet life) that doesn't treat me like that. She recognizes what I am about, she doesn't judge me, she trusts me...and vice versa. I think most women will agree that maintaining female relationships can be tough, and it is a genuine treat to speak to women that feel comfortable complimenting other beautiful and brilliant women. A woman's compliment to me means more than a man's any minute...well, more than a STRAIGHT man's compliment.
I wish more women would feel like that. Of course, that isn't to say it isn't lovely to have a man think you are sexy...it is, but if a woman does it, well, I believe her no matter what.
